NIDHI SINGH: VOICE OF THE MEDIA, THE MOTHER

Nidhi Singh (Voice of the Media, Khulsoom, the mother) has been on both sides of the camera as an independent film/video-maker. She is also a freelance journalist, a fundraiser and an animal lover. She is currently raising funds to support a network of mobile wildlife veterinary ambulances in national parks in India. Singh played Begum Sumroo - the fearless courtesan, warrior, stateswoman from 18th century India in Vidhu Singh's production, Begum Sumroo: The Rebel Courtesan, at Theater Artaud, San Francisco, 2004. She also played Kiran in Mahesh Dattani's A Muggy Night in Mumbai in San Francisco, 2002.
